What's New?
(New additions to our library)
Books (and a new Section) added in November 2011
Graphic novels (comic-book style books) are always popular. In November a number of titles have been added, both fiction and non-fiction, in this format. In fact, SO many graphic novels were added that a whole new area of the library has been created to showcase them, making them much easier to find. All graphic novels can now be found on the shelves next to the north entrance (elementary side) of the library. Come in and check out the more than 20 available titles.
A new fiction series, Franny K. Stein, has also been added this month. Franny is a young mad scientist who is always getting herself into trouble with her wacky inventions in these chapter books perfect for 2nd to 4th graders.
Six volumes were added to the The Ranger's Apprentice fiction series as well. Apprentice follows the adventures of Will, an orphan who is taken as an apprentice Ranger, as he strives to keep the Kingdom of Araluen safe from invaders, traitors, and threats. 4th graders and up will enjoy the newly added books three through eight (with book nine coming soon) as well as the first two volumes already in the library.
Rounding out this month are some new titles for middle school students, including both fiction and non-fiction titles revolving around the events of World War II. See the complete list HERE for details.
